Right from day one I was on skis. Mom and Dad would throw me in a pack and go skiing. Once I was old enough to stand on my own pair the addiction started. By the time I was 4 I had skied every run in bounds at Snowbird ski resort. My sister Angel and I were incubated in the mountains year round, winters at Snowbird, and summers in an old blue van. This fostered an undying love for our surroundings. We would learn the names of all the plants and animals, and every peak in whatever range we were exploring. We lived out of the van or a tent in the summer until I was 14, when dad got a summer job. Our summer adventures slowed down to support our winter ones. I quit ski racing at age 15, and began freeskiing, my true passion. Ive been lucky enough to travel the world the past five years, competing and filming with my childhood heroes. Living the dream.

Q&A

1.) Who are some of your favorite people to follow on Instagram?

I love following homies in the ski industry- our people are so all over the place IG is a great way to keep up with what everyone is doing. But specifically for great photos I like the feeds from Jimmy Chin, Corey Richards and Renan Ozturk.

2.) What have been some of your toughest challenges this past season? How did you overcome them?

I had a sorta tough start to the season with a shoulder injury and basically no plans- I thought I might be rehabbing and flipping burgers all season, but I focused on staying healthy, and staying positive: next thing you know I got an invite to film with TGR as well as put together a segment for an NBC Sports tv show.

3.) 20 years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?

In 20 years… it would be nice when (if) people thought of me, they would get a positive feeling. It would be sweet if people drew inspiration from what I love to do as well.

4.) Which athletes did you admire most growing up, and who do you look up to now?

Growing up I really admired Sage, Jeremy Nobis, and Candide. Now, not much has changed- Sage still inspires me daily, as well as my sister Angel, and I guess the whole TGR crew- they are all great people.

5.) Whats your go to Discrete item?

My favorite Discrete piece is probably the Vax beanie. I love the simple cuffed beanies. Theres a few different styles from Discrete that are sweet though.

6.) Favorite mountain to shred?

Alta/Bird for sure!! Jackson and Revelstoke are rad as well.

7.) At the age of 17 you Seven Summited. Which of those where your favorite?

I loved the summits that I was able to ski off of- Denali (NA) Elbrus (EUR) Vinson (Antarctica). Those peaks cemented in the fact that I wanted to be a skier for life, exploring the cool corners of the planet.

8.) Sponsors?
