Serious Peaks. Serious Fun.

The Peak Series

In true Discrete style, the Peak Series is redefining what mountain running is all about. Starting from the base of a world-famous ski resort, you’ll rally up windswept ridges and glacial cirques to towering peaks, power down a quad-burning descent, and break the tape into a festival of live music, food, drink, and vendor tents. The elevation is serious but the mileage is manageable, and the race is as hardcore as you want it to be-beat the pros down to earn legend status and cash prizes, or enjoy the views and let the challenge be its own reward.

CHALLENGES / AWARDS

EQUAL WORK, EQUAL PAY

Everyone’s running the same course, so the Peak Series is doing the logical thing and paying out the same prizes. The winner of each race gets $500, both overall series winners take home the same, and the top three finishers in the Expert and Sport divisions will score a package of killer gear after every race.

GOPRO PEAK FREAK

Cash prizes, gear giveaways, and bragging rights are all worthy rewards for putting yourself through the Peak Series wringer, but if you’re the first one to reach the summit, you’ll also take a home a GoPro Hero4 camera. The fastest guy and gal each get one, so make sure your shoes are laced up right and your legs are ready for the starter’s pistol.

POWERED BY GOAL ZERO

Keeping our footprint small is as important as keeping stoke high, so Discrete has teamed with Goal Zero to ensure that the Peak Series uses 100% solar energy to ensure the event runs as cleanly as you do; no fossil fuels, no carbon emissions, no nastiness.

PROBAR: MIDDLE OF THE PACK AWARD

The Peak Series is about more than winning. It’s about testing yourself, bagging some peaks, and having a hell of a time, and in that spirit, PROBAR is sponsoring the Middle of the Pack Award. Every race, the runner who finishes squarely in the middle of the field will receive a handsome, and tasty, reward to fuel them on their next adventure.
